I'd like to be able to click a button to generate this sort of collage, based on my reading dates, for use in Talk: http://www.librarything.com/topic/136521
Part of it's already there - http://www.librarything.com/allyourcovers?sort=da (I believe you already know this, Zoë). What's not there is filtering by tag, collection, or reading date (you can sort by title, author, or date read, but it always shows your entire library - which takes a looooooong time to generate!). It apparently used to have a 'filter by tag', but I don't see it now. It has improved, though, to show your own covers (not the Amazon generic) and to link to the book on LT rather than on Amazon.
So I guess, like so many of my requests, it really boils down to "please do things with reading dates". ;)
I never look at All Your Covers, both because it takes so long to generate and because it's pretty static. But if I could easily generate a more meaningful subset of covers, I'd use it all the time in my challenge threads.
Ditto what Zoe said. I used to think All Covers was cool, but stopped bothering with it when I started cataloging books I didn't own and hadn't read (wishlist, et al.) Glad to see they've improved it somewhat, but it's still mostly useless without being able to filter by tags or collections.
