[Miranda July] and the quirky short-story

I'm reading Miranda July's book No one belongs here more than you at the moment. Quirky, quite up-close-and-personal short stories which are surprising and fun. Lots of short, simple sentences. Reminds me of The Most of It by Mary Ruefle. Longer stories but similar in feel = simple yet dark.
