This was a game/activity that I discovered on Goodreads, and what happens is basically you post a comment with something like this:

Harry Potter or Draco Malfoy?

The next commenter then posts a response saying which one they would pick. You pick Harry Potter (of course!) and then post another question, such as:

Marvel or DC?

And so it goes. I wanted to create this topic, as we used to comment all the time on the Staircase, and that was fun (some REALLY weird sentences our brains thought up!), so here's another game to keep us occupied. :)

So... Marvel or DC?

2AresofAmbition
Edited: Jul 26, 2012, 12:28pm

Well, DC Comics owns the rights to my favorite superhero, Batman, but other than Superman, I'm not the biggest fan of the other DC superheroes. Meanwhile, Marvel has no superhero that I love, but it has quite a few that I like (Iron Man, Thor, etc.).

Tough call, but I'm going to go with Marvel on this one.

Since we're on superheroes: Batman or Superman?

3ErisofDiscord
Jul 26, 2012, 12:31pm

Batman, of course! No superpowers, just strength that he had to work hard to get, a genius-level intellect, and he wears black, so that makes him the best.

Sherlock Holmes or Dumbledore?

4GinnyW
Jul 26, 2012, 5:10pm

Holmes. I never liked Dumbledore all that much and to be honest I wasn't upset at all when he died.

Football or baseball?

5katagirl
Jul 26, 2012, 5:26pm

Football (not into either really, but it seems more interesting!)

Cake or Cupcakes? *girly, I know*

6ErisofDiscord
Edited: Jul 26, 2012, 6:02pm

Cake! Although I love cupcakes, too. As long as both are gluten-free - don't want have an allergy attack!

London or Paris?

7katagirl
Jul 26, 2012, 5:33pm

Ahh, gluten allergies!

Is that hard to deal with, gluten is in so much yummy food!

8ErisofDiscord
Jul 26, 2012, 5:35pm

Yeah, it was at first, but it's gotten easier over the years, and my family has been able to find a lot of very good replacements for gluten-y foods. We even get to have our daily bread! :D

9katagirl
Jul 26, 2012, 6:14pm

Cool...are you the only one with a gluten free diet in your family?

10katagirl
Jul 26, 2012, 6:17pm

Ohh, and Eris, 4 points to you for starting this game!

I love being able to award points, being a prefect is awesome!

11ErisofDiscord
Jul 26, 2012, 6:31pm

My whole family has this problem. :( Gluten-intolerance is very hereditary, and both of my parents families have it, too. My grandmother recently gave up wheat and it makes her feel so much better. Her doctors all tell her that for her age, she is in pretty good health! *knocks on wood*

And thank you for the points! :) You are a great prefect. For that, I'll polish your badge for free!

London... no, Paris, no, Lon...Paris.
Yes. Paris.

13ErisofDiscord
Jul 26, 2012, 7:51pm

Haha! I face the same quandary. Right now, I'm leaning towards London because I am in love with their television, but Paris is oh so very tempting. :)

Did you want to post the next This or That? If not, I can get it.

14flanisntjustdessert

Star Wars or Star Trek?

18AresofAmbition
Jul 26, 2012, 10:28pm

Tough choice, as I love both franchises, but I'm going to have to go with Star Wars, just because I've been a Star Wars fan longer than a Star Trek fan, and I've always wanted to wield a lightsaber more than wield a phaser.

Then again, Star Trek doesn't have Jar Jar Binks.

Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings?

The Weeping Angels or Vashta Nerada?

26flanisntjustdessert
Jul 27, 2012, 2:44pm

dunno who those people ( groups) are.

27ErisofDiscord
Jul 27, 2012, 3:03pm

They're not groups or people - they're monsters.

You know when you go to a graveyard, and you see those statues of angels that are weeping? Well, they're alive. And they're psychopaths. They look harmless, they look frozen, and they are, as long as you're looking at them. But then you look away. Then you blink. And they're no longer statues anymore. Then they can move, faster than you can believe. And they're coming to get you.

This is a Weeping Angel:

Oh, and don't blink while looking at that picture. Because, you see, the image of a Weeping Angel becomes itself an Angel.

The Vashta Nerada are the shadows under your bed, the complete utter darkness that all humans seem to fear. They're like piranhas - they feast on human feast and leave just the skeleton behind.

28flanisntjustdessert
