2jjmcgaffeyAs far as I can see, it's something built into Safari for long pieces of text. I suspect that it doesn't "see" a thread as one long piece of text - because it isn't, it's lots of small pieces of text. And I'd say that the "clutter" in a thread is kind of necessary. Who wrote this bit of what's on the page, when was it written/edited, mark as a favorite, jump to top...all useful stuff. It might be possible to present a thread in such a way that the Reader would pick it up - but it would be an extra complexity, likely to produce bugs, for Safari browsers only...I doubt it will happen, even if it's possible. 3r.orrisonIt would greatly improve usability on iPhones and to a lesser extent iPads, and probably be a lot easier than implementing a proper mobile version of the site. 4brightcopyYeah, what Talk really needs is a mobile view. It can be a bit of a nightmare on a phone or 7" tablet. | AboutThis topic is not marked as primarily about any work, author or other topic. TouchstonesNo touchstones |
