You walk in and stare around in wonder. The walls are a mysterious blue, that seem to go on forever. The floor is a dark wood color, with shining silver footprints. Alisha's cat, Isis, is curled up in her plush bed on a bookshelf. In letter made of bubbles, ALISHA, is written, right above a large desk, they pop and start all over again blowing up like balloons. The desk is a dark chocolate-brown, with papers neatly stacked in piles. While books float from bookshelf to bookshelf. Pictures and posters are everywhere. Mostly of previous headmasters, but some are of animals, like tigers, hippogriffs, and a phoenix. The room never seems to end. You take a seat in one of the large, comfortable chairs, and wait for Alisha to see you.

*sits down and begins to act all lady like*

Might I be an assistant to your running of Hogwarts Castle? I am on quite frequently, and I could help run things like broomstick racing and the easy points lounge. I admire your commitment to all of us, and would like to help this group grow!

What kind of bubbles. I mean are they like plain regular bubbles? Clear with a rainbow tint? Or are these cool bubbles like...hot pink, yellow, each letter is a different color- type bubble? Just sayin'

#2 katagirl - Thank you and yes you may. I would love to have an assistant especially when I'm in my college classes and working, it is nice to know someone is here looking out for you guys when I can't. Thanks!!

#3- Krissi maybe they are rainbow colored bubbles...LOL. Though it doesn't say so maybe it is up to the individual to decide for themselves what color (if any) they are..lol. This is Hogwarts you know.

#2 & #4: What about sarahy?

6katagirl

8ErisofDiscord
Aug 10, 2012, 11:49am

Assistants don't have offices. ;)

9katagirl
Aug 10, 2012, 2:21pm

They should

10ErisofDiscord
Aug 10, 2012, 2:32pm

I agree.

11Catreona
Aug 10, 2012, 5:47pm

Wouldn't this position be Deputy Head, not assistant?

12katagirl
Aug 10, 2012, 6:34pm

Ohh, I like that even better! 2 points to you for you idea/correction!

13xkrissio3
Aug 10, 2012, 6:39pm

Assistants get desks outside the office

14ErisofDiscord
Aug 10, 2012, 7:53pm

Sarah is our current Deputy Headmistress, and although she's not on all the time, she comes in occasionally. If we make you Deputy Head, Kate, I think we should ask Sarah if it's all right.

15Catreona
Aug 10, 2012, 8:53pm

>Kata: Thanks.

16katagirl
Aug 10, 2012, 10:52pm

Yahh, maybe we can ask theamwriter to compose a little note from all of us

17sarahy
Aug 11, 2012, 1:49pm

should we leave the other hogwarts group?

18GinnyW
Aug 12, 2012, 6:33pm

I dunno, I did

19sarahy
Aug 13, 2012, 10:16am

Okay I will too then :)

20Theamwriter
Aug 13, 2012, 10:45pm

Yes you may leave the other group if you like.

Also sarahy we need your blessing on katagirl being another assistant (deputy headmistress) when you are absent.

Also if sarahy gives her blessing, katagirl would get an office because sarahy had one (that was labeled deputy headmistress) it seems only fair

21katagirl
Aug 13, 2012, 11:11pm

Yes, I talked to Sarah, and she said it was fine...but we should wait for her to make it official!

22sarahy
Aug 15, 2012, 12:26pm

Of course, you all have my blessing to continue growing and developing our lovely Hogwarts group :)

23katagirl
Aug 23, 2012, 1:44pm

So...can I make an office for my self? :)

24Theamwriter
Aug 23, 2012, 6:52pm

Yeah just titled Deputy Headmistress with your name or something similar

Thank you guys for all being so patient with me. I've awarded each house 20 points (already added) and I hope to be online to answer any questions and doing some sorting and be a little more active soon. I'm swamped with college readings and homework and this is only week 2 of the semester. On the bright side I only have about 14.5 weeks left before my graduation!!

(Spanish): Lo siento por mis ausencias para este grupo ... la escuela y el trabajo son sin duda me mantiene ocupado este Ășltimo semestre.

(English): Sorry for my absences for this group...school and work are definitely keeping me busy this final semester.

My teacher: What does el chico mean?
Me: ummm... the chico?

37the_silent_reader
Sep 21, 2012, 7:58pm

Doesn't that mean child?

(Me trying to impress people with only two years of high school Spanish which I extremely disliked)

38Theamwriter
Sep 21, 2012, 9:42pm

el chico means "the boy"

also if you ever need it try http://translate.google.com and you can translate English to Spanish and vice versa

39the_silent_reader
Sep 22, 2012, 6:31pm

But my Spanish teacher kept calling us chicos. (At least I think she did). Yet I'm not a boy.

40Theamwriter
Sep 22, 2012, 10:34pm

That's true but when you have a class full of boys and girls in Spanish the male takes dominance. Males would be the head of the house in Countries that speak Spanish so that's why they would say el chicos when you have boys and girls because males comes first before females

Hope this helps

41the_silent_reader
Sep 23, 2012, 7:12pm

Sorta does sorta doesn't. I brought this up once with her, and she explained it like you did, so it didn't in the way that I remembered it. It does help, because it sorta proves my point that it could mean children (at least I think it does)

42katagirl
Sep 26, 2012, 8:46pm

Hello Everyone Sorry for my absense lately :) I haven't forgot about you!

43Theamwriter
Edited: Oct 9, 2012, 8:28pm

#41 - it is a little confusing, trust me it took me a while to remember it as well.

#42 - no worries katagirl, I've been MIA for a week or two myself...so sorry about that guys. I've been swamped with school work and work. I had to write two papers in 3 days. One was a three page analysis on Harry Potter and the other one was in my British Literature to 1616 class and that ended up being about 5 days no including the works cited page

44katagirl
Sep 30, 2012, 11:12pm

WOW...well at least it was just Harry Poter?!?!

45flanisntjustdessert
Oct 10, 2012, 4:26pm

Three page analysis on HP? That doesn't sound so bad :D

46Theamwriter
Oct 22, 2012, 9:33am

Yeah I got that paper back and I got a C+ on it. How in the world does a Harry Potter nerd like me get a C+ on a Harry Potter paper... I do get a chance to rewrite it though. I'm going to the writing center at my school to ask them question in which should help me improve my paper. I hope it all works out.

47flanisntjustdessert
Oct 23, 2012, 4:03pm

HUH? I would be super pissed if I got a C+ on a HP paper...

48Theamwriter
Nov 1, 2012, 10:25pm

Yeah I was, but I was given an opportunity to rewrite it. So I rewrote it and I got an A- :D That grade is much better.

49flanisntjustdessert

Just curious...I know the subject of the paper was HP, but what exactly was your thesis/what you had to write about?
Also...in the Ravenclaw Common Room, my name isn't on the list of Ravenclaws. Is that list still "current?"/active? And I don't mind that my name isn't on there; I know you're super busy! :D I was just curious, that's all. Thanks so much!

53Theamwriter
Nov 24, 2012, 10:19am

My thesis for the paper was this: "Harry's sympathetic nature as a character, his complex personality, and his past history work together to produce and increase the conflict in the novel." The basis of my paper was to talk about Harry Potter as a character throughout the first book, and how I was suppose to analyze the main character really in the HPSS. I ended up getting an A- on the paper after doing the rewrite of it.

I will check on the Ravenclaw common room, I think I might be the one who is keeping track of all the names anyway, thanks for bringing it to my attention. My semester is slowly winding down and so soon very soon (around December 14th) I will be back in full swing.

54flanisntjustdessert
Nov 25, 2012, 4:59pm

Oh my.. that's pretty deep for a fictional character!

55Theamwriter
Dec 2, 2012, 8:56am

Yeah I'll say. Needless to say I look at Harry Potter in a whole new light.

2 more weeks left of classes and then I will be back full time. So excited! I have miss you guys and all of your comments!

I'm BACK! It feels good to be back in my office and near my students and faculty here at Hogwarts!

57StarlightLily

Sadly, no one has been quite active. Oh, well! It is the holidays, after all! :) Everyone is probably busy! :D

58Theamwriter
Dec 21, 2012, 9:58am

It could be possible, maybe some people are outside playing in the snow... :)
Even though my school semester ended on the 14th I'm working on Day 4 with the flu, but I hope to be back up and running tomorrow with everything (blogging, real life work, finishing up my last minute Christmas shopping, and wrappings, social media, reading, etc)

*apparates back into the office*

"Hopefully that takes care of everything for a while"

*Sits down at desk and tries to catch up on school paperwork, and read reports from professors about what has been happening since I had to take care of business*

Yes it is good to be back in the castle.
