Flag covers for language/publisher

It is a constant source of irritation to me that covers of works you do not own and works appearing anywhere else than a work page are the "original" cover.

The result is than if I, say, browse a tag page on LT.fr, I will scarcely get book covers in French, and publisher series hardly ever show the covers of those editions (which can get very frustrating where those series have particularly recognizable covers, such as the 70s-80s Présence du Futur editions by Stéphane Dumont).

Is there any way to have more relevant cover display outside of work pages?
