Lots of places (libraries and bookstores in particular) do Mock-Newbery and Mock-Caldecott programs, and there are several great blogs and websites that post about them. I'm going to mention a few of my favorites here, and feel free to add yours below!

Heavy Medal: A Mock Newbery Blog -- This blog, hosted by School Library Journal, has been doing a mock-Newbery type discussion for a few years now, and it's my #1 go-to for reading suggestions. They only post September-January, but right now there's a suggested reading list post that's worth a look.

For Those About to Mock -- This mock Newbery blog started up just this year, but they post year-round, so they're a great place to get reading suggestions and quick opinions on a lot of newly-published works.

Calling Caldecott -- This blog, sponsored by The Horn Book, started up just last year. Like Heavy Medal, they post only in the fall, but will be worth keeping an eye on at that point.
