I am new to this site and am hoping someone can help me!! I remember reading a romance novel years ago (not sure how many) but I can not remember the name or author.
The book opens with a girl/woman being led to a room in a tower where she is murdered by, I think, her stepfather. The time period is ancient/medival and is set, again I think, in Scotland. Years later a man somehow encounters her and falls in love with her but she won't tell him her name. He somehow discovers her name and somehow gets sent back to the day she was killed and is able to rescue her and she trusts him becasue he knows her name. Her name was not english (Gaelic possibly) and meant violet becasue that was the color of her eyes.
I am pretty sure those are all correct. This has been driving me crazy for days now.

Lynn Kurland writes a lot of romance books about people "somehow" going back, or forward, in time for love, mostly set in Scotland and England.
