On the Add to your books page, I added Stroustrup's The C++ Programming Language, Fourth Edition (ISBN: 0-321-56384-2) from Amazon. The title that ended up in my library and in recent activity was The C Programming Language, Fourth Edition -- no "++". Also, see member sergueison's recent activity which includes the addition of 4 C++ titles, all of which have had the "++" removed.
It looks correct in your catalog to me now. Did you subsequently fix it?
Does the same thing happen when adding from other sources?
Yes - I did fix my catalog entry.
Yes - It's not Amazon related. For example, add Lippman's C++ Primer (4th Edition) (ISBN-10: 0201721481) from the Library of Congress and you get C primer for a title.
I knew I'd seen this before:
This one is going to get deferred/closed. But only because we are about to embark on a complete rewrite of the book adding process that will be much better. ;)
In two weeks, then?
Actually, I'm just grateful to hear that the Great Add Books Re-do is actually going to happen. I was afraid that it had been shelved entirely, since I hadn't heard about it for quite a long time.
