I'm going to centralize the announcing of minor features and improvements.

Jul 15, 2013, 1:16am Top

I added the ability to see your collections as a list, not in columns. It's under the "Settings" for the collections module. The result looks like this:

That's a pretty minor announcement.

Good idea for a thread.

Edited: Jul 15, 2013, 3:08am Top

I'd like to know what book is under the category "coveting my wife's books" :)

I like this change, less occupied space for this, more for something else.

I don't understand this thread. New talk? But then it's about display of collections? Yall r weird.

Jul 16, 2013, 12:03am Top

7> Tim doesn't want to make a whole thread for minor little fiddles. So this will be the thread for all the fiddles.

Did he change the title? I don't see anything about "talk" there.

Jul 16, 2013, 4:03am Top

8, Jeremy changed the title, I think. I know he did on the other one.

Jul 16, 2013, 4:48am Top

Yeah, I read the two threads in reverse order. Matters are now clarified...

>8 jjmcgaffey:-10 - Oh yeah, sorry, I did change the title and forgot to post here that I'd done it.

I just noticed that the "New Features" Group logo up top is still in the clutches of the dread pirate Salmon...

(...which is fine by me ... I never objected to the dread pirate...)

The Twitter avatar as well.
Nice bit of nostalgia in my twitter feed.... certainly distinctive amongst the other avatars.

I can't remember who wanted this, but I've gone ahead and made the member and "why" (recommending work) option for the Member Recommendations home module.

Here are the four different possibilities:

Jul 22, 2013, 7:48am Top

> 14 That's not quite working for me. If I set it to show the member who made the recommendation but not why, it says "for error" after the member's name. If I select "why" but don't select "member" the "recommended for..." line doesn't show up at all.

Tim, I changed the setting on that, but then when I wanted to change back, clicking the "settings" link just took me to the top of the home page. I had to refresh the page to get the "settings" link to work again.

I think I remember asking for this. I like seeing which book it was for, but I think it would be nice to have a way to see any explanations from the recommender as well.

I was thinking that, too, but then realized that the explanations would often take up a lot of room on the home page!

Frankly, I'd like to see the "why" for the automatic recommendations, too.

Just adding that I have the same problem that Herenya mentions above: http://www.librarything.com/topic/156680#4207265

Jul 22, 2013, 11:51am Top

>18 lilithcat:

There could be just a link that would expand into the full explanation.

Jul 22, 2013, 4:17pm Top

>16 lilithcat: I have that same problem with all the modules and reported it here.
