Shori in Octavia Butler's Fledgling. One of Butler's best novels, and like almost all of her work it explores issues of race and gender.

In no particular order :
Blindsight
Agyar
The Vampire Tapestry
Fevre Dream
Lestat and Armand in the Vampires Chronicles
No or very little conventional romance in those, all fairly interesting takes on what a vampire could be like and how it could manage to live among humans.

If you like monstrous vampires, you may want to check out my book Fear the Light: Who Murdered Dracula? on Amazon.
Book description: Many had tried to kill Dracula over the centuries. All had failed. Until now... Eight vampires gather at their maker's castle to solve the mystery of who murdered Dracula. But as the sun rises outside the chateau, the first vampire is slain. And Dracula's children realize that they have met their match - a formidable killer who plans on picking them off one by one!
As the daylight reigns and their numbers dwindle, a dark suspicion grows - could the killer be hiding in plain sight?

Lestat de Lioncourt is by far my favorite vampire I've ever encountered in any novel, film, or tv show. He just seems to be the ultimate badass vampire.

I would have to go with Lestat, he is just so memorable.

Probably Dracula would top our list, although Lord Adamdama (ugh -- think we misspelt that) from Gail Carriger's Soulless has his own brand of quirky charm & is at least as memorable.

I do prefer a more traditional vampire and so top of my list is Dracula closely followed by Eric Northman. Both are sinister, darkly attractive vampires - just as they should be.

Some of my favourites are the 19th century vampires:
Lord Ruthven (the incarnations by Planche, Polidori and Nodier)
Carmilla
Varney
