Hello!

“A Month of Bedtime Stories" is a collection of thirty-one humorous bedtime stories for children aged around 5 - 11 by the soon-to-be-famous Neil Roy McFarlane (that's me - crikey!)

I wrote the book over a period of 3 months between 5am and 7am every morning before leaving for work. I'd also write on the train to work, sometimes on ticket stubs and till receipts if I forgot to bring paper. So far my father, sister, and a lady at work have read it, so if you buy a copy you'll be joining a very small, exclusive group! (Go on - I know you're tempted!)

The book's central character is "You", so kids should enjoy hearing about what they did and all the crazy adventures they had.

The lady at work wrote a very nice review for me, so as it's all I've got so far, I'll paste it below. She told me wonderful tales of her daughter laughing hysterically and even leaping out of the bed and running around the room in response to the stories, so, um, if you want some bedtime stories to wake up your kids and get them all excited so they can't sleep and they end up keeping you awake all night, this is the book for you!

My daughter and I love this collection of short stories. They make us both laugh out loud. They have a theme running through each story, a predictability my daughter loves almost as much as the fact that she is always the central character of each chapter. I love the totally wacky side - the cat and canary being one of my favourite cameos, but I love more than anything watching my daughters expressions change from hysterical laughter (the cry of 'no bum biting' in The Battle of the Ants) to a grimace (wait till you find out where Mrs Teasel keeps the baked beans). This collection will become a firm favourite. The only thing is it won't last a month - neither of us can leave it to just one story a night.

I don't know how to post links, but it's available as an ebook from all the normal sites and I'm hoping to get a print-on-demand paper version out soon.
