The August batch is live and ready for requests a little early! We've got 2,716 copies of 87 titles this month. See the blog post to browse covers.

Request copies here!

While you're at it, if you've moved or switched email addresses recently, please remember to check/update that information on your ER profile.

Which books are you hoping to snag this month?

lorannen,

http://www.librarything.com/work/16260686 shows as a paper book (when filtering for paper only) and I am pretty sure that EDGE does not do paper. And the description kinda supports that it is e-book only. Can you verify?

Oh! Another Apex Book of World SF. I want it!

Lots of good nonfiction this time.

The Shirley Jackson book sounds promising. I don't read a lot of science fiction anymore, but The Beast of Cretacea sounds interesting.

The Shock of Night sounded interesting, until I saw it was volume 2 in a series and from a Christian publisher, both of which are turn-offs for me. I was also tempted by Milky Way Repo, but from the description, I'm guessing it's an ebook that was mistakenly listed as print, so I'll pass.

An excellent list! Quite a few that tempt me, but I managed to restrict myself to a mere three requests. I can't recall the last time there were so many good-sounding choices.

>5 yoyogod: I already bought the Shirley Jackson book. Just got it this afternoon at a B&N retail (which apparently put it out on the shelf a day early). I'm skeptical about posthumous publication of material Jackson herself never saw fit to publish, but still, it's worth a try especially while we're still waiting on the (previously promised) second Jackson volume in the Library of America.

Wow ... this may be the first batch since May 2010 that I've seen NOTHING of interest on the list! What's with all the books about TV shows??? Feels like a significant "dumbing down" of LTER!

And shucks oh jeez, I requested one of them dang cop show books because I thought it might be fun. Fun! Can you imagine!? Here on LT? What was going on in this silly head o mine?

It definitely feels like the LTER has changed over the years. Not necessarily a good or bad thing, just life.

Unfortunately for me it's skrta changed from stuff I read to stuff I don't. (Altough if the TV police shows had more recent stuff I may have requested it. It does look fun :))

Our book from Booktrope, Jenna's Journey, is listed as available for early review in .mobi, .epub or pdf. THIS IS A MISTAKE. Only in PDF. Thank you for correcting this.!

Tempting choices and really wide variety therein this month. Lime Spouse, reading over my shoulder, made me check off two titles he's interested in. If I get awarded one of those, it's gonna be an interesting review! I'll have to interview the reader, I guess!

I didn't see anything of interest to me in those books available to Canada. Maybe next time!
