A while back, someone on LT mentioned a pen they liked. I followed the link at the time and made a mental note to come back and buy it later, and then promptly forgot. I think it was a waterman (but not sure). The pen came in black and blue lacquer (and maybe green too). It had a design that looked like a starfield. Does this ring a bell to anyone? I've searched the internet all evening and can't find it. Any help would be appreciated.

I believe you may be referring to the re-issued Waterman 'Patrician' and the Man 100, both re-issued about 15 years ago. While the Man 100 comes in black, the Patrician comes in royal blue, emerald green and coral red. I have been fortunate to collect all four; they form the centre piece of my collection of modern Watermans. It took me over a year to collect all 4 over the Net. Try www.penbid.com and ebay; keep checking and eventually they'll pop up for sale. Expect to pay between $ 350.00 and
$ 500.00 U.S. per pen, as they are becoming increasingly hard to find. Happy hunting!
