For the past year- there have not been many books( not including e-books) available to LT readers in Canada- including Canadian authors-( which is very weird)

First time I've submitted a request since July because there's been absolutely nothing of interest for us Canadians.. and, to be honest, the request I made today is borderline. I've only made 6 requests, including this one, for all of 2015 (won 1 (in March), which never arrived) ..compared to 24 requested in 2014. What is going on with the lack of options for Canadians?! Pretty close to giving up on LibraryThing :-( ...there's no lack of options for Canadians on Goodreads, for example.

Blame Canadian publishers who don't offer books to the ER program.

It's not LT's fault if publishers don't offer things, and the ER program is a free benefit of LT, not the purpose of the site. It that's the only reason you're here, by all means, go stick with GR.

#12 lilithcat But why are they being offered on Goodreads and not ER? That's what's most confusing for me. It used to be that the same books were basically offered on both, with typically the books being offered on ER well in advance of them showing up on Goodreads, but now most on Goodreads never show up on ER.

It's not just Canada that has a lack of options, I think it's everything non-USA.
Here in the Netherlands I have the choice of all of 6 books, none of them on paper.

Will someone PLEASE answer my messages? I have been messaging and emailing every contact I can find for people who work on this site and they are all going ignored. I've tried emails, I've tried messaging. Now I'm trying the forum. I don't know why messages aren't getting through but I need an ADMIN to respond. This site is proving quite difficult and not very user friendly.

My experience has been that messages that are clear and addressed to the right person get dealt with within a few days. I have also found that an amazing number of things posted in the forum can be dealt with by other members.

If your problem has to do with ER, Lorannen was sick, just at a time of month when her workload is particularly heavy. She probably does have a backlog, not helped by other people forwarding several copies of the same message.
