I was just updating the people/characters data for

The empire of the French : a chronology of the Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars

(rearranging some of the military officers and combining some duplicate people, e.g. General X and Marshal X where they were the same person).

Saved it, and the entire list of people/characters was empty when the page was refreshed.

(This book had a *very* long list of people/characters...)

Odd, there's no history shewing for people/characters either.

Edit:

And you definitely were editing it, as it shews up in your Common Knowledge log. Very strange!

If you were to look at

https://www.librarything.com/character/General%20Maison

That character was referenced by this particular book, and the page still knows that the character was created, although it's wiped the connection with the specific book. (As far as I know, no other book referenced that character; I was using the page as a check on how many duplicate characters were showing up as appearing with this one.)

(That is, I was using it to help flush out which characters had been entered multiple times in the list of characters for the book, since those with multiple appearances with this character get sorted out to the top.)

So there are scraps of information on the character end where those pages remember that they've been edited, but the book itself not only lost the edits but *all* the character data, including the stuff that's been around for a long time and was entered by other people.

Actually that's just how LT works, you can replace "General%20Maison" with any random thing, it'll still give you a page that says 0 uses.

Yeah, but they won't show data in the helper logs, which "General Maison" currently does.

There was another of these in the old bug log. I did a quick look and can't see anything. I suspect there was an error inserting it, perhaps fixed since. Either way, I need something reproduceable or within the last 24h (maybe) to work on it.
