Hi everyone,
So, many people go about saying, "I'll read this, I'll read that!". But when you've finished all the books you like you then sit down and say, "What now?". This is common with readers that read all day long (mostly!). So if anyone has any ideas how to get into reading again instead of saying things like, "I've read every book in the library, there is no more for me!" because A: you haven't, there are a minimum of 10 new books coming into the library EVERY DAY! And B: Since there are new books coming into the library, for example, just because you stick with Action books doesn't mean you can't read Romance books! (You may stick with a different type of book, but that is just an example so hopefully you get the picture!) So go ahead! Write a question about this or give this group an idea on how to E X P A N D your brain!

Interesting idea, thanks! I don't need it right now, but I'll keep an eye on it :)

Never really a question for me. If not fixated on just the bleeding edge of releases in an ultra-narrow sub-genre there'll always be MORE than most people can keep up with. That's fine. You get to pick, whatever the criteria. And if you *can* keep up with the releases very few books are truly entirely ground-breaking and you can find more of what you like in the back-list, books don't suddenly start to stink because they're over a few months old.

I just keep tabs on authors and books I want to read eventually, both those I'm likely to find at the library and those I'm not and may want to nab if/when I see them cheap. That means I usually have 2-3 years' worth of reading on hand even without hitting the library now and then in that time.

Since my 'to read' collection has nearly 300 books in it, I always find something I 'have' to read at the library, and find it hard to leave a bookstore without buying something, I can't imagine ever having this problem. If I were to have it, there's always Gutenberg.

I've read over 200 books so far this year, and can't keep up with everything I want to read.

Oh, yes, you can always reread something. There are certain authors whose works I reread regularly. Some of them give more and more on every reread, others are just for the joy of meeting up with old friends again. I see you have entered The Selection series. You might enjoy Georgette Heyer's regnancy romances. She has some of the most vivid characters I know. Frederica and Arabella are particular favourites.

I recently discovered a new author who writes short, powerful stories about real life, Jenn Sadai - if you haven't heard of her, check it out. I loved the two I've read so far and plan on ordering her other book.
