Publisher field does not highlight automatically

Using Library Thing.
When editing a book to put in paperback, year, publisher and ISBN, I have noticed that after selecting paperback and pressing tab, the year field is highlighted ready to change. Pressing tab again does not highlight the publisher field. I think that this is maybe an oversight. Could this be changed?
Another question on publisher - since the same publisher comes up time and time again, why do I have to type in the name over and over? Why can't I just start typing and have the publisher's name be presented as a suggested entry?
