I guess my subject says it all.

I've tried to edit patron names a couple of times, but even thought a message comes up asking if I really want to do this, and I say 'yes' the changes never show up.

The latest fail was - and still is - trying to get a patron's third name in her details.

With the other recent name edit that repeatedly failed I created another patron and did a merge. I probably couldn't do that again because I don't remember the steps I used. But whatever I did worked. All very frustrating and time-wasting.

Thanks for fixing this.

Blessings,
Bevianne

Hi Bevianne,

I can confirm that I'm seeing the same bug here! That's a good one—sorry for your trouble.

I've written the issue up for developers and we'll hopefully have a fix soon—I'll report back here once it's fixed.

(Side note: if you want a refresher on how to merge patrons—or anything else from the Patrons page—you can always refer to our Help Wiki page here: http://www.librarything.com/wiki/index.php/TinyCat:_Circulation_%C2%BB_Patrons.)

This is a public group. You should probably redact the actual patron name from your bug report.

>3 lorax: Thanks, Lorax. I've done that. Since she was part of Bill Clinton's White House team, and still very much in the public eye because of her very prominent husband, she's probably ok with her name being public...

Forgot to mark this bug as fixed. There was a bug in the way names were being stored and displayed for "one field" patrons, which wasn't allowing patron edits. This has been resolved.
