Were you surprised by what had happened to Chris Connor? Do you think it was an accident?

No and no. I think it's Ergo trying to keep the results of Flemings research a secret

I agree that Ergo had him killed after he first talked to Karen.

This came as a big shock for me. It certainly was not an accident.

I don't think it was an accident. I think Ergo is willing to do anything to keep the research a secret.

I agree it was no accident. I can't find a reason for Ergo to kill him. He's not doing further research. Keeping him alive seems more to their advantage. Perhaps he'll lead them to Fleming and those doing the research. Maybe Deloit had him killed to shut him up. I don't recall the timeline of events...was as Karen's visit before or after the accident?

addendum: I guess a good reason for Ergo to kill him is because he knows the findings of the original research. They probably killed him.

I think Deloit had him killed for speaking to Karen.

I don't think it was an accident either. I don't think "Ergo" kills. I think they give very high incentives to others to make sure things are kept under wraps and don't look too closely at the methods. I wonder what triggered that action. Whatever damage he can wreck, he already has.

Definitely was killed, but I was susrprised he was dead and shouldn't have been. I was imagined he was killed because he spoke to Karen and was a liability.
