Simply said, this is where I will begin and (with luck) end my list of 50 completed books for the year of 2008. I have not yet decided if I will include graphic novels, so I will keep their tally separate until I manage to make a decision. Now reading: A History of Western Philosophy by Bertrand Russell Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson Enchantment: The Life and Times of Audrey Hepburn by Donald Spoto YOTSUBA! Volume 1 by Azuma Kiyohiko *EDIT: Author tags don't seem to be functioning at the moment, so bear with me as I attempt to correct the post. **EDIT #2: I have decided to count manga and/or comic TPB's as 1/2 of a book, at least for now. Message edited by its author, Jan 8, 2008, 1:18pm. This week has been incredibly slow on the reading front as my books have had to compete with everything from a long-term houseguest to overtime hours at the office, so this is all I've finished thus far: YOTSUBA! Volume 1 by Azuma Kiyohiko Total: 0.5 Gracious, I'm not getting this year off to a very productive start. When I do find time to read, I've been going to my unread manga instead of my more... valuable reads. At least I got a couple done that I suppose still count. Loveless, Volume 1 by Yun Kouga Translucent, Volume 1 by Kazuhiro Okamoto Translucent, Volume 2 by Kazuhiro Okamoto Total: 2.0 I swear to God I will read a real book as soon as I finish my TBR manga! The combination of looking for a better job and trying to reorganize my apartment seems to have temporarily sapped my mind of intellectual drive. Bizenghast, Volume 4 by M. Alice LeGrow xxxHolic, Volume 9 by CLAMP xxxHolic, Volume 10 by CLAMP Total: 3.5 *EDIT: Touchstones still insist on being a pain in my ass; my office computer could probably use some serious upgrading. Message edited by its author, Jan 16, 2008, 11:10am. Touchstones are a pain for everyone, I don't think it's your computer.
Also, I know what you mean about the re-organizing. It takes so much time that could be spent reading! Indeed! If I wasn't so anal retentive I'd likely never organize anything since it's far too time-consuming. ^_^ Anywho, I was up to more manga-devouring mischief last night, which concludes that particular TBR pile and will lead into the first novel (which I hope to finish today, as I'm already halfway through it). Loveless, Volume 2 by Yun Kouga YOTSUBA! Volume 2 by Azuma Kiyohiko YOTSUBA! Volume 3 by Azuma Kiyohiko Total: 5.0 - *EDIT: Dear Touchstones, You have officially been defeated. I own you. Love, Alana Message edited by its author, Jan 17, 2008, 1:47pm. I'm rather terribly slacking as I try to catch up on the first 3 seasons of Lost before the premier tomorrow - I have to get in at least 9 hours tonight to finish in time. Damn my boyfriend for starting me on these stupid dvds! Suppli, Volume 1 by Mari Okazaki I had a chunk of time this weekend that wasn't stressful or pressed, so I finally read another novel! Shadow of the Hegemon by Orson Scott Card Total: 11.5 xxxHolic, Volume 11 by CLAMP
Total: 12.0 Nodame Cantabile, Volume 6 by Tomoko Ninomiya Nodame Cantabile, Volume 7 by Tomoko Ninomiya Nodame Cantabile, Volume 8 by Tomoko Ninomiya Nodame Cantabile, Volume 9 by Tomoko Ninomiya Nodame Cantabile, Volume 10 by Tomoko Ninomiya Nodame Cantabile, Volume 11 by Tomoko Ninomiya Nodame Cantabile, Volume 12 by Tomoko Ninomiya Nodame Cantabile, Volume 13 by Tomoko Ninomiya Nodame Cantabile, Volume 14 by Tomoko Ninomiya Total: 19 P.S. I've never read anything online before this series, but considering the lack of cost and the speed and ease with which one can rip-roar through volumes, I'm inclined to believe it's a terrible evil. Message edited by its author, Mar 17, 2008, 11:48am.
