Members of the HorrorKIT group discussed moving back here next year. Since ScaredyCAT didn't make the cut, here is a thread for discussing whether we want to have a Kit, what we want to call it, and what we want it to look like. Everyone is welcome to join in, whether you have participated before or not.

I'm in. I think Scaredy or Thriller KIT would be good.

Scaredy sounds good to me.

I like the name Scaredy, though I guess it's now become a ScaredyKIT, rather than CAT! And I would also like it to be a KIT. :-)

Funny, I think we are all the ones from the Horror group who have commented so far! :-)

I don't know if I would participate every month, but I certainly would like to dip my toe in occasionally. I was a little disappointed that ScaredyCat didn't make it as I liked the idea of thrillers and horror being in the mix.

>5 DeltaQueen50: Agreed. I don't read much horror, so adding thrillers and other genres to the mix would give me more of a chance to participate.

>5 DeltaQueen50: Judy I think a lot of your reading would fit right in. In the last two years I've scanned the 1001 books list as I made my monthly choices and often I've found something.

>4 LibraryCin: I knew we would be the first ones here, but I think we'll grow now that we're in the CC.

I'd definitely participate in a thriller/horror mix, i.e. ScaredyKIT. If MysteryCAT ends up as one of the final CATs (which looks very likely at this point), then I think we should try to choose ScaredyKIT topics that won't overlap much with the MysteryCAT themes.

I think (hope) that those of us from the Horror group will be regulars, but I expect other CC members will drop in once in a while.

As someone who's not a member of the horror group, I'd be interested in participating in a scaredykit. I voted for the scaredycat, too, and was a little disappointed it didn't make it.

I'd go in for a ScaredyKit or a HorrorKit. I admit, I tried to move over to the new Horror group, but I have such limited time to be on librarything, I ended up not visiting often. This challenge group will probably once again be the only group I visit much, so I'd be much more able/likely to participate if it were a Kit on this page, whether horror or scaredy!

Yes, I'm good with this!

It seems like there is consensus for the name ScaredyKIT. Perhaps I should start a new thread with this as the title for our actual planning. It might attract more people who also voted for ScaredyCAT.

>14 sturlington:, definitely a good idea. I like a good thriller, but not so much full on horror. I surprised myself by even clicking on this topic with Horror in the title. I will drop by and see what's happening. If it's not too frightening I might even participate.

Ok, here is the new new thread: http://www.librarything.com/topic/271226#
