I'm old enough to remember the antiquated systems of yesteryear. I imagine they were even more convoluted in a prison, where book access needs to be monitored.

Probably not enough state budget money to keep it up to date. Keeps the criminals busy while keeping it antiquated.

I'm not surprised. >2 Olivermagnus: & >3 EadieB: are right. Monitoring the materials and budgets would be big factors for a prison library.

Why should it be modernised? Theres no hurry to check out a book - there's nowhere else a con needs to get to in a hurry.

I wasn't surprised. I'm fine with the fact that the security features and grounds of the prison are taking a priority over the library.

>2 Olivermagnus: >3 EadieB: >4 Carol420: They could have monitored the books much more easily with a modern system but not surprised it hadn't been modernised.

>9 Andrew-theQM: It's a place that you will "like " more than a regular prison...more perks...but if you find yourself in one you will probably be there a LONG time.
