Joe felt relief on getting the phone message from Lydia. Any thoughts?

It was frustrating that they both kept getting engaged tones. They needed to swap vital information.

I felt like screaming that Lydia is not alright and hurry up and go help her. Very frustrating!

That was very frustrating. Joe should have suspected that Lydia was far from alright.

How stupid was Joe, he is a detective and this phone message should have worried him and put him on high alert not lead to a feeling of relief!

I thought this was a misstep on Joe's part. the fact that he couldn't reach her and then got a message that she was going to meet another potential victim should have sent up all kinds of red flags

Joe seemed incredibly incompetent.
