NOTE: This isn't my challenge thread, that's Quondame but just a celebration of exceptional book acquisitions!

Tablets at Work arrived in today's mail and it is huge! Also, I am the first LT person to list it!

Mrsdrneutron has taken up something similar - it’s braiding that looks like tablet weaving. She’s really enjoying it!

>3 drneutron: Ply-split braiding? I haven't tried that, though I have done finger loop braiding, lucet cord makeing & sprang.
This book give straightforward techniques for making nearly a dozen kinds of tablet weaving, color coded to boot!

Before the Mast Life and Death Aboard the Mary Rose arrived today. It's what I spent my Christmas gift cards on. Two volumes, which I hadn't known.

Interesting book. There are apparently 5 volumes in a series on the archaeology of the Mary Rose. This would be worth me checking out, I think.
