Yesterday my copies of the new Vintage Classics series were delivered . . . the Handmaid's Tale, 1984 and Brave New World. They're gorgeous. The page edges are red.

- no touchstone for the Orwell book, no matter how I spell or punctuate it. I guess it's not as well known as I thought

- not sure if this is the place to post this, but I'm a bit out of touch with LibraryThing these days

I love the one for "Handmaid's Tale" especially.

That's weird about the Orwell touchstone. I just tried it too, and nada.

The whole search is a bit messed up right now - this the problem with the touchstones.

Nice editions.

>1 Nickelini: Those are indeed gorgeous! Lucky you!

Oh damn, those are stunning!

Interesting covers. Would be interested in seeing the one for Fahrenheit 451.

Oh well, I just decided that these are too good looking to pass on them so they are on their way here...

Those editions really make me jealous. I want to have them now!

Really lovely! I'm quite jealous. Though I've been meaning to get The Handmaid's Tale so perhaps I'll spring for it.

So nice!

>1 Nickelini: And I just ordered two of these, less a week after deciding I need to get rid of half my books. Ooops.

Those are impressive editions. And Nineteen Eighty-Four gets the touchstone for 1984.

>12 shadrach_anki: So does 1984 now - it was a side-wide search problem :)

Very tempting! I could sneak one more edition of Handmaid's Tale on the shelf....
