If they are ER reviews, you can't prevent it.

"Recipients of books who submit reviews to LibraryThing hereby grant LibraryThing, the book's publisher and its author perpetual NON-exclusive permission to use of the review, together with their first name and city/town of residence, for purposes of entertainment, advertising, promotion or publicity without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. LibraryThing, the publisher and the author reserve the right to edit reviews for clarity or language or to use only excerpts from them. Neither LibraryThing nor the publisher is under any obligation to publish a review."

>4 MarthaJeanne:

No, ER reviews are subjected to the rule in >2 amanda4242: . We could override that, but we don't.

Doesn't that still leave the publisher and author?

>6 MarthaJeanne: Right. So, in theory, this could be coming into Google Books from the publisher end, I believe, but not from us, if you have that toggle off.

Except that the reviews in question aren't for ER books. Chances are that toggle was set to allow sharing. The reviews still show up now (since the OP is a private library, I won't link, but you can google for yourself), but presumably will be removed next time Google's spiders stop by, assuming the OP flipped the switch.

>8 lorax: Yep, that's right! And edited >7 lorannen:, because I replied to the wrong post! Anyway, that was more about the hypothetical raised in >4 MarthaJeanne:. For the OP's situation, they should see their reviews disappear from Google Books within the next 30 days (on the long end) or so. I'm not sure how frequently Google updates book info, specifically.

I'm not sure they're taking it from spiders now, or from feeds. Can you PM me the link?
