Kids book with different poems(?) and rhymes with painted illustrations

I read it as a child in the 2000s maybe 2008?? No clue when it came out. The cover or the title page was of either hands or feet (painted) with a pair of furry monster feet thrown to the mix. One page was a poem about a paintbrush “my paintbrush swirls and curves over the page... till I need it tomorrow”, another a furry green monster talking about his lap disappearing when he stands up and appearing when he sits down “wheres my lap? I stand up, it’s gone. Sit, there’s my friend lap!”
Another has a marble jar on it, another talking about the danger of cars in the street “kids are fast but cars are faster.” And talking about not touching the stove. Another talked about eating “colours” and making a rainbow in your stomach.
It was all either painted or watercolour illustrations, very colourful. It was relatively thin and paperback. For the life of me I don’t know the name, but I can see the images in my head.
