Children’s picture book - with dark images and a dark family

I read this about 12 years ago, around 2006, although at the time, I think it was still quite old.
It’s a picture book about a weird family and the images it uses are quite dark. Each page is a different room in their house. One room was in the houses attic and was the location where zombies were brought to life, another room was filled with moths in jars. It had a dog who had a red ball, and showed the houses backyard with a big tree. It was weirdly dark, yet I loved it and would love to know it’s name. Please help me find this book!

Also the word morbid was used

Thank you for your help! But sadly no, the book was in colour and almost had a kind to Tim burton vibe to how it was portrayed. The help is very much appreciated though 😊
