Name change and inaccurate preview

This is a strange one. I was eager to get more information about something mentioned in a member's review and wrote a post on his profile page. Upon preview I saw that a phrase was distorted, only distantly related to what I'd written. I copied, wiped the post, tried again and this time preview omitted about 1/3 of my post. Then I noticed that at top of member's page my own user name was given as 'BluePiano' though far as I can tell it's only on that page that the name is wrong. Can someone tell me what's going on, please? Cheers.

Link? Screenshot?

I'm probably being over-scrupulous esp. given that profiles are public but I'd feel a bit awkward linking to his page. Suppose I could ask his permission. Tried again just now & post ffinally went up as written. My name for some reason still wrong, though it links to my page anyway.

>3 bluepiano: I can see the comment you posted on his profile and your username looks normal to me. Are you using any browser add-ons? Did your browser prompt you to "translate this page", and if so did you click yes?

Another thought: did your post include any links or other markup? Sometimes, if you neglect to close an href tag, it'll truncate part of the message. To further investigate, we really do need the specific text (what you've written, and what you're seeing instead). If it comes up again, you can link me to the other member's profile via private message, if you like.

>4 norabelle414: Bingo. Went back to the page, clicked 'show original (language)', name reverted to the correct one. How interesting.

>5 lorannen: Most recent post previewed as written & posted as written. Still seems strange, as previously wording was changed in one preview and a bit from the centre, not end, of post was missing on another.

Thanks to the lot of ye.
