This is the second time I have had this status on an order when I look at my account on the EP website:

"We have received your order. Please check back in 5-7 days for updated order status information."

The last time it happened (about a month ago), the status stayed the same for about 10 days, then my order disappeared and when I contacted EP I was told the book had sold out.

Now I have that status listed for my order of the Leatherstocking Tales set, which I ordered last Tuesday during the Cyber Week sale. Has anyone had this experience? Does this usually mean your order is going to be canceled? I already contacted EP CS last Thursday via e-mail and they said everything was "all set." However, the status has not changed. The other books I ordered during the cyber sale are listed as shipping today. So, not sure why this one is delayed...

It is a standard statement that EP uses for orders with standard shipping, but my experience is that the “5-7 days” means little. I have an order now that has shown this statement for almost 2 weeks, probably because they are busy filling sale orders. An occasional call to customer service can’t hurt.

This same status appears when you purchase a book that is not shipping yet, for example, this is what I see for my order of The Fall of Gondolin, which doesn't ship till January, apparently.

>3 Arknight: Yes, that actually makes sense. However, all of the books I ordered are shown as in stock. I ordered two books on Cyber Monday. Within a day or two they showed expected ship date as December 4th. I ordered the Leatherstocking Tales the next day. That one still has the status of "check back..." Now, it is possible they are FLOODED with orders from the Cyber sale and are behind shipping out books???? Normally, I would not be concerned at all, but I did have that experience with an order being canceled...
