SPOILERS AHEAD!!!
I cannot think of this book! I read it last year I believe.
I am only getting bits and pieces from my memory.
-The main guy owns a military operations company ( I think they drop off supplies?)
-The man takes the girl on a military base to run a course
-They have a very rocky relationship because he thinks everyone around him dies because of him
-He had friends when he was on a mission die (He was in charge) and there was only him and one buddy left alive from that group
-His buddy is about to have a baby
-He sends his buddy to do a dangerous drop off, he ends up dying
- He immediately goes to where he was killed
-Gets ambushed and shot (I think around where kids were playing soccer?)
- The book makes it seem like he ends up dying by putting the girl at his friends funeral crying
-He touches her shoulder and she falls into her friend and cries.
-At the end of the book they go back to the military course with their kids.
Any ideas??
