A russian prince visiting a neighbor meets a young woman reading a book under a tree. His small dog interrupts her. Thinks she is a maid the way she is dressed, but is from a well to do family. She over hears him telling his friend that he will seduce her because he is bored. She decides to turn the tables on him and in her awkward funny way accomplishes that. She is one of 3 sisters. I believe that this might have been book 2 of a series. One of the other one might be his sister hiding as a maid in a tavern. Unless that is another russian series.
Thank you everyone in advance for reading this.

This is about a woman who goes back in time, I will assume scotland but not sure. I remember it being a popular series. This first book she is talking to the "laird" maybe and realizes what date it is and tells him that his brother is drowning and he follows her to the lake. She saves him but his lungs get infected. He locks her in a room and has a "healer" him because all his men (one of them was a bad guy.) accuses her of being a witch. The brother gets so bad that he asks her to help. She saves him again. He orders her to come and eat with him but she won't budge until he apologizes to her. He tries to starve her out of the room, but he gives in first.
thank you for any help.

You should start a new thread for each book. However, since I'm here... Could the 2nd book be A Knight in Shining Armor by Jude Deveraux?

thank you for your response. I put this on a separate thread after making this mistake. Unfortunately this is not the book. She seemed to know the history of the clan and that the brother was going to die on that date. She was a strong heroine.
