What I remember was she had an invisible monster or demon type creature that she used to hunt other monsters or demons. I believe she ends up joining some outcast group after she's found out. The book has a purple or blue cover with a girl on it and then the silhouette of a monster coming out of her. I also believe it came out within the last 5 or so years.
