Finished The Postmodern Condition: A Report on Knowledge by Jean-Francois Lyotard.
Finished: It Takes All Kinds - by Louis Bromfield.
A collection of shorter stories by Bromfield. A good read particularly the first story - McLeod's Folly.
What did you think of the books by Herman Wouk? I remember when they were published, but I haven't read them yet.
I saw that book (How to Lose Friends and Alienate People) in Borders the other day and almost picked it up. What did you think of it? Is it worth buying or should I check it out from the library.
What did you think of Spy Catcher? I had forgotten about that book, but it was one that I wanted to read.
Finished: Animal Spirits: How Human Psychology Drives the Economy, and Why it Matters for Global Capitalism by George A. Akerlof and Robert J. Shiller. Disappointed just how shallow this book is. You'd think with the all of references and notes that the book itself would be a little more academic and less a generality.
What did you think of the Ascent of Money? I've heard Niall Ferguson interviewed and as a comentator before and I wanted to read that book.
What did you think of Frenchman's Creek? Would you call it suspense? I read and loved Rebecca.
I am glad to hear that it was so good. I have a copy of it around here and need to move it up the stack. Thanks!
What did you think of Snow Falling on Cedars? That is another one on my tbr that I have not gotten around to reading.
