Hi, all! I'm an elementary teacher and just found this amazing site, and then found this even more amazing group!
I read a book to my students today called "The Summer My Father Was Ten" by Pat Brisson. It is a beautifully written story, memoir style, of a boy who learns integrity (great for teaching those ever important lessons on developing good character traits).
welcome! and thanks for the book suggestion... if you put the title in brackets it will show like this The Summer My Father Was Ten and we can click on the book and add to our "wish list" like i just did... put authors in double brackets
TeacherDad or other wise person,
I've seen mention of this "wish list" before but haven't figured out how to make one, can you give me some tips? Thanks!
hang on a sec, I have to get my kids to come see that I was called a "wise person"
(other than by myself or my Dad, although "wise-ass" is a little different....)
oops, so caught up in being called "wise" forgot to answer the question...
I'm sure there are other methods, but for my TBR (to be read)/wish I had 'em books, I add them to my library and simply tag them as "wish list" -- I know some of the more technologically advanced LTers access their libraries from pda, blackberry, whatever, while actually in the bookstore shopping...?!?!?
the advice is free, help yourself to a cookie, stop by anytime...
