Anyone else watch this show?
It's on the History International Channel Wednesday night at 8 and 8:30pm, the show is about biblical archaeology, Simcha (the hosts) tackels some questions that a lot of people wouldn't touch. Most people either love him or hate him, I personally love him, he's a riot. In one of his shows he reenacted a biblical war with legos! LOL
He's also the guy that did the Lost Tomb of Jesus documentary with James Cameron.
I catch his show from time to time, though his personality is very strong and I don't know if I can be a regular viewer. I particularly liked his show on food in the Bible. Interesting stuff.
Your right, his personality can be a bit overwhelming sometimes...But I find it can't be any worse than many of the people he interviews. It just seems to be the way a lot of people are when it comes to such a hot topic...I saw the biblical food one, ya know that's the only episode that has his wife and kids in it, other than that I never would have known.
Unfortunately for Simcha there aren't too many 'serious' archaeologists that put much stock in him...many have separated themselves further since his "Tomb of Jesus" bomb...
Though I did find some of his thoughts on the Exodus interesting in another program that he produced with James Cameron...
