In Cold Blood... I read this book long before
Capote ever came out. It scared the crap out of me. Also, the original movie based on the work is a classic.

I'm currently reading Against Love: A Polemic and find it fascinating. Books I read earlier this year and adored include The Omnivore's Dilemma and Eat, Pray, Love. Hooray for non-required reading!
I'm reading
House of Leaves by
Mark Z. Danielewski, which is a bit of a mind-trip. I highly reccommend reading this one when on break. (It's experimental nature makes it a bit of a complex read, but well worth it.)
I just picked up
Water for Elephants at the airport, because (sigh) I tend to like Oprah Book Club kinds of titles.
I had assumed it was a chick novel, and in fact kept referring to it as "Like Water for Chocolate Elephants" in my head.
I was wrong, and in a fantastic way. (Not that I don't love chick lit.) It covers circuses and old people - two of my favorite subjects! (I'm not being facetious.)
HA! I kept thinking 'Like Water for Elephants' myself.
I don't even remember what I'm reading ... um. Um.
I picked up the
Star Trek manga when I was in Monterey for a library conference. That'll probably be next.
