In the spring of 2002 Lawrence Today published an article by Chuck Lauter containing a link to the "master list" of Freshman Studies works. Can anyone relocate the list? Here's the location of that article with the dead link: http://www.lawrence.edu/news/pubs/lt/spr...

Matriculating 1985; what I recall:
1. Book of Genesis, I believe the King James Version(?)
2. As I Lay Dying
3. Structure of Scientific Revolutions
4. Republic

I transferred to Lawrence (from Northwestern) in my Sophmore year, so I was sort of out of the loop for Freshman Studies!

I think this is the link you want?

Matriculated 2001, so I should probably be able to remember all of what we read...

The Communist Manifesto
The Republic
A Midsummer Night's Dream
Things Fall Apart
Notes From Underground
The Book of Job
Siderius Nuncius by Galileo
The Structure of Scientific Revolutions
Frankenstein

The list you link is along the same vein. The list I remember was a list of actually assigned works.

(P.S.: I wonder why the URL in your message doesn't appear as a hyperlink? I am new to LibraryThing.)
