Not sure -- I assume I need to list 5 books that have something to do with school and that are fiction (not all the books listed so far are fiction, so I could have misunderstood.)

I don't know how to make the books have links, but here are the five that involve schools that I could think of off hand without repeating any already listed:

Miss Pym Disposes by Josephine Tey (loved it!)--a mystery that takes place in a girls' school
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte (Jane spent a lot time in school--student & teacher)
Honest Doubt by Amanda Cross--pseudonym for Carolyn Heilbrun (or The Trouble with Max is another candidate) Kate Fansler, the detective is a professor
The Rebel Angels by Robertson Davies
Daddy Long Legs by Jean Webster (a novel in letters--much better than the movie, the heroine is in college)

(edited for typos-hope I found them all)
(edited to add links and comments)

Behind the Scenes at the Museum by Kate Atkinson (sounds like a field trip to me).
Five Quarters of the Orange by Joanne Harris (must be fuzzy math).
The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kid (our school does a geography bee).
Double Negative by David Carkeet (a no-no from grammar class).
Shopgirl by Steve Martin (at least at my high school -- the few, the proud).

AMQS

Loved your creative list! and the comments. Are any of these worth reading?

Someone gave me Secret Life of Bees--but I haven't checked it out yet. I've heard of Shopgirl--but never looked at it. The other 3 are new to me.
