The Freedom Writers Diary - YA to adult, nonfiction, journals of at risk teens, transformation of character and education

art mysteries series starting with Chasing Vermeer by Blue Balliett - 5th & up, touches on many subjects, different way of thinking

Dragonriders of Pern series by Anne McCaffrey - YA to adult, start with Dragonflight or Dragonsong

The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan - adult, need to start with The Eye of the World

The Dark Is Rising series by Susan Cooper- 7th to adult, can start with Over Sea, Under Stone or The Dark Is Rising

A Midwife's Tale by Laurel Thatcher Ulrich - adult, nonfiction, analysis of diary

Lizzie Bright and the Buckminster Boy by Gary D. Schmidt - YA to adult, poetic prose, prejudice, peer pressure

The Lost Years of Merlin series by T A Barron - 6th to adult, Merlin learning to be a wizard, transformation of character and interaction with other characters

Mary Stewart's Merlin series, starts with The Crystal Cave - adult, Arthur's story from the point of view of Merlin

I guess this will do for a list. Had some difficulty balancing it. As you can tell, I have a thing about King Arthur books. I find the different angles fascinating. But I also like a wide variety. I haven't done reviews yet in LT, but I do have a review site where I have reviewed many of the things I listed.

Thank you so much for the list. I am planning to work on my M2BR over the Thanksgiving Holiday, and I will add those to my list.
