This group is gradually growing - great! What was the book that first got people interested in Robert Anton Wilson? For me it was Cosmic Trigger 1, which I found at our local library and got really excited reading it. It's a wild assortment of ideas including Nasrudin stories, accounts of extra-terrestrials from Sirius and Timothy Leary's 8 brain circuits amongst other things - the whole effect was to feel one's horizon (tunnel-reality?) expanding.

cosmic trigger was my first experince with RAW. he's taught me much over the years. as with everything else, he's a great reader of James Joyce. especially with plumbing the depths of Joyce's words. see his COINCIDANce for this. it's not for the feint of heart, but then old RAW, may he RIP, isn't either. his sections on Korzybski are also a Guide for the Perplexed.

Yeah, Coincidance is probably my favourite RAW book, particularly for the chapters on Joyce and the analysis of his word play. There's also a good chapter on Ginsberg. Incidentally Illuminati Papers also has a great chapter teasing out multiple meanings in some of Joyce's phrases.
