Winter Jackets, the adult winter reading program happening in public libraries throughout the metro area, will kick off in Saint Paul's public libraries on Monday, January 5.

You can pick up a reading record at any Saint Paul library after that date, read 3 (or more) books, and win a free coffee mug - while supplies last.

Need ideas on what to read? I know Central will be putting up book displays of staff's all-time favorites, and there are some great resources on the website www.sppl.org to give you ideas. Just look under the Books and Reading tab

Just discovered this. I retired in June and have been reading voraciously - have read between 15-20 books since then! I love to get new ideas.

This is a fabulous idea for our winter days when sometimes the only sensible thing is to stay inside curled up with a good book - like today, perhaps!
