I stumbled on this thread, and I was very glad to see that everyone had some fond memories. Anyone still living here? If so, what do you think about the proposed library closings?

I live outside the city but yes, I'm still here.

The closings of the library, while unhappy, may indeed be necessary. I don't like the idea, but we have to do something in terms of reallocation of resources.

I live outside of Philly and I am still here. Hello everyone. I am glad to see that libraries haven't closed.

Keep an eye out. Last year, we had a get together of people from the Mid-Atlantic who frequent the Green Dragon group. Sometimes, it is fun to meet people in person. I don't know if the same gathering will take place in Philadelphia itself in 2010 but there will be some gathering somewhere in the Northeast Corridor.
