Hi, this is my first time trying this and I'm hoping to hit 50. A book a week seems about right. So far this year: 1. Too Fat to Fish by Artie Lang 2. Another Life by Andrew Vachss Good luck! --BJ 3. Snuff by Chuck Palahniuk Message edited by its author, Jan 16, 2009, 6:59pm. 8. Death Note, Volume 1 by Tsugumi Ohba What did you think of the Chuck Palahniuk book? My daughter really loves his books. --BJ I didn't really care for it. I've read other stuff by him in the past that I really liked, but Snuff just didn't do it for me. 17. New X-Men Vol. 3: New Worlds 18. The Cross and the Crescent by Richard Fletcher 20. The Gospel You've Never Heard by David I. Rudel Message edited by its author, Mar 16, 2009, 10:23pm. What did you think of the Graham Greene book? I read a couple of his books last year and really liked them. --BJ I really enjoyed the Greene book, and would like to read more of him. Which one would recommend for my next one? I have only read two: Our Man in Havana and The Quiet American. I liked both of them, but Our Man in Havana was a funny take on the spy novel. Both books were made into movies. That is how I learned about the books. --BJ 25. The Book of Dead Philosophers by Simon Critchley Message edited by its author, Apr 7, 2009, 7:16pm. 26. Civil War Soldier Life: In Camp & Battle by George F. Williams 33. The Cathedral & the Bazaar: Musings on Linux and Open Source by an Accidental Revolutionary by Eric S. Raymond Message edited by its author, May 4, 2009, 9:48pm. What did you think of The Talented Mr. Ripley? I've only seen the movie but I've been thinking about reading the entire series for a while now. I enjoyed The Talented Mr. Ripley quite a bit. I have not seen the movie, so I went into it fresh, and was impressed with the pacing and buildup. I would like to see the movie now, just to see how they compare. Thanks! I thought the movie was very well done, hope you enjoy it if you end up watching :) Another life is good! How do you like the Raymond Carver book? Have you read anything by him in the past? This was the first book of Carver's that I've read, and I really enjoyed it. Hopefully I'll be able read some of his other works in the near future. 54. Almost Catholic by Jon M. Sweeney 59. Spider-Man: Death of the Stacys by Stan Lee and Gerry Conway 66. Flesh by Richard Laymon 71. Uncanny X-Men: Sisterhood by Matt Fraction 78. X-Men: First Class - Mutant Mayhem TPB (X-Men (Marvel Paperback)) 80. Dead Of Night Featuring Man-Thing (back to top)
