I really disliked midnight pearls by Debbie Vigue. The plot changed half way through and everyone had the perfect ending, except they didn't make sense. Also, the story explored none of the themes or ideas in the little mermaid.

I might be unpopular in saying I don't like any of the Simon Pulse Once Upon a Time series. Except for Snow, because it's crackalicious.

I agree, some of them are OK but I wouldn't put any in my favourites.

I really enjoy them mostly. I thought Belle by Cameron Dokey was just okay. I like how they take place in many different time periods. They also are very different than a lot of what is out there in fairy tale retellings.

On a superficial note, the cover art is really good:) maybe I need to read more of that series to find some of the better ones.
