Hi, catarina1!
Did you read
The Coffee Trader as part of the Highly Rated Book Group read? If not, I thought you might like to join us for our next group read which I believe will be
The Blind Assassin by Margaret Atwood. I think that it starts on March 2. I don't know how to make a link, but I think that if you go to my profile page and look at the groups I belong to, then you could click on the group name to get there.

ETA Well, I went to the group and saw that you are already a member. Sorry that I did not realize it before. I look forward to seeing your thoughts on the next book. Have a great day! :)

BillieJean
Thanks for thinking about me. I just happened to have a copy of the Blind Assassin and got it out yesterday.
Sorry to interject, catarina, but BillieJean - where do you find all the group reads? When I look at the big list of LT groups, I don't see anything that would suggest group reads (although that big list is kind of overwhelming). Do you just do a search for them? Or do they come up in groups you're already in? I'd like to take part in some of the ones you've mentioned (esp. Anna Karenina) but I don't know where to find them!
#5 I posted a comment on your profile page about the group reads. Let me know if you have more questions. :)
#4 I still have to get my copy of
The Blind Assassin. I am looking forward to that book. :)
Have a great weekend!

Since I have met the goal of 50 books for the year, I'm going to continue this is a slightly different way. i plan to read all of the books on the long list for the Orange Prize for the year 2009. We already know the winner but that doesn't matter. perhaps next year, I'll get a headstart. I have already counted #2 and 3 in my 50 list. So they will not be counted again.
