Interesting, Joe. I haven't really thought about this much, but there isn't much that we talk about literary wise. It's always media, especially Japanese media like games and anime. Of course, there is always Harry Potter. We talk about that. And Charles Vess, though he's not an auther. I suppose we also have Susanna Clarke in common, but you don't care for her much. What else do we have in common? J.R.R. Tolkein? Douglas Adams? Pretty mainstream stuff. What do you think of Patricia A. McKillip? I always make time for her. She has a new book coming out in March she just announced this month.

Speaking of Charles Vess, you haven't brought that magazine over. Could you point me to where you bought it? I'd like to get it before it's not available anymore.

Well, it's not that I dislike Susanna Clarke as I've only read partway into Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norell. I like J.R.R. Tolkien and Douglas Adams, though Tolkien sometimes moves farther into the academic bent in some of his works, which makes reading them something akin to reading an encyclopedia: good for brief lookups, but not necessarily interesting in the long haul. That said, I do enjoy The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings series.

I subscribed to that fairy magazine, and had them start the subscription with that issue. I don't remember the URL for the magazine, though. I'll have to look for that copy of the magazine.

Once I get more titles entered into Delicious Library, I'll have to show you what books we have. You guys could also come here for Banzai one of these first weeks. We could definitely do it now that most things are sorted out and whatnot.

I agree with you wholeheartedly about J.R.R. Tolkien. I can't get through any of his other works/compendiums. The Silmarillion was fascinating, but not in a "Wow! I'm really glad I read this!" sort of way. To be honest, I can't recall ever finishing it. Anything put together by his son, Christopher, has been quite dull, IMO.

So what is the Fairy magazine called again? I can't recall it.

As for Banzai!, just let us know. Tell Heather that Brin & I want to cancel a Banzai! in the future so we can try our feet at swing dancing. ;)

Have you had a chance to read Sasquatch: Legend Meets Science? What do you think of it? Also, I'd love to see that Charles Vess magazine...
