Well i'm actually trying to read The fellowship of the Ring again i saw a boxed set of the lord of the rings books in W.H. Smiths so i thought heck why not buy it? I've also got several other books which i've started to read but not finished- i've gotta do something about that soon...

If you manage to get into it then you'll have to let me know I've tried once or twice and I just can't get past the first few pages even though I like the films.
As for reading I'm reading the third it girl book which I should have finished tonight then I'll be reading the forth and so on maybe taking a break in between a few to read some other books. I'm really enjoying them but gossip girl is still my favourite :)

yeah i love the films but i have only got through the books once and that was a while ago - i'm doing alright so far i'm not sure where i'm at but Frodo hasn't properly left the shire yet so there's a looong way to go yet lol.
last night when my brain was frazzled i picked up The Pillars of the earth again which has been sat by my bed for a couple of weeks now since i last read some of it. If you like historical fiction then it's definately something to pick up i really like it and you can really connect with the characters. geez i make such a crap reviewer .

I am far from being a teen, but I would like to recommend the Tomorrow Series by John Marsden. They take place in Australia. A bunch of high school students become freedom fighters after their country is invaded.

Well i finished aforementioned book last night (all 1000+ pages of it) and i am really chuffed with it. at some point i will have to read World without end but i may take a gander at the forth Morganville vampires books before then...

I don't care how tired i am either tonight or tomorrow night- i am reading Chosen P.C. & Kristin Cast or i am gonna die!!! i *need* to know what happens!!! gah!!

*face literally turns green in envy* I NEED to buy chosen *addiction kicks in at full speed* I will not rest until I find it. *flys out the door then pokes head back round* I will be back with chosen in hand! *slams door*

OMFG!! Jess when you get hold of Chosen and read it all will right with the world don't worry i was soo damn happy when i finished it rather early this morning so now i *must* get hold of Untamed !!! argh!!

OMG! You finished it! Was it amazing? I couldn't find it at the waterstones by my work yesterday so I'm going in to town soon to hunt through all the bookshops there searching high and low, I'll keep you updated on any progress *carrys on with mission* Oh and Rachel I heard untameds suppost to be the best one yet eek!

So I finished chosen *does happy dance* which was fab and I've now started the 4th it girl book Unforgettable. My evermore book came from amazon this morning so I might read that after...

Well i read one of the three stories in the 2nd Nightworld book. It was really good. there was this hilarious moment where the main character was getting told what to say by a "guardian angel" type guy and he sneakily slipped in the line "these aren't the droids you're looking for" (as said by Obi wan Kenobi in the Original star wars movie) my how i giggled.

Well I am reading two books at the time. First is James Patterson's Jack and Jill and Philippa Gregory's Fallen Skies. They are both really good so far. I have read a lot of both authors, so I am pleased.

Well i've now finished the 2nd Nightworld book but im not quite sure what im going to read next. Either i go back to Fellowship of the Ring or i start something new. I was tempted to give The Luxe another go since i bought the second book so i kind of need to read the first.
Jenrylee : is Fallen Skies one of the Meridon (sp?) books? i've read three of Philippa's Tudor court novels and i really liked them are her other historical fiction books any good?

I finished Unforgettable last night so I'll be starting a new book later I might read another it girl book or evermore by Alyson Noel

LadyViolet, Fallen Skies is not part of the Meridon series. I have the series in my library if you would like to look. Fallen Skies is one that she wrote that is totally different from what she usually writes. It is set in the post WWI era. So far it is okay, there have been times where it dragged but I would recommend it.

Ah rite thank you i may have to take a look... it's hilarious how this place just amplifies your book addictions by giving you info about all sorts of wonderful books you didn't know about before... *shakes head* oh the irony.

I decided to read evermore in the end and I'm enjoying it so far.

I am reading Giving up on ordinary Isla Dewar I am only about half way, it is a good read. It is about a divorced 40 year old who is looking for more out of life. It is funny and even youger women can relate to it.

I finished Giving up on ordinary today, I highly recommend it. I will write a review tomorrow. I am starting True Colors tonight.

Well i finished The Luxe the other day and i also finished Rumours last night now i get to wait for Envy to come out.
When i bought more books this morning (im becoming a terrible spendaholic) i decided to start THe boy in the striped pyjamas cos i knew it wouldn't take me too long seeing as it was only 200 pages. That's now finished - its really quite saddening and the fact that Bruno doesn't understand what's going on makes it all the more heart-breaking in the end.

Well after i got home at quarter past 12 i stupidly thought i would pick up Uglies and read a few chapters of that before i crashed.

Well i've now finished uglies and i may start Rebel Angels but my plans are not concrete yet...

I'm now reading the 5th it girl book lucky there quick reads for me so I should be finished with it tonight or tomorow

Ok so i didn't start to read Rebel Angels i actually re-read Marked and when i get chance (which may be sunday considering what's going on this weekend) i will have another read of Betrayed : A House of Night Novel

I'm going to start Rebel Angels by Libba Bray later the second book in the Gemma Doyle Trilogy

Well instead of starting Rebel Angels i borrowed Just Listen by Sarah Dessen from the library (i was originally looking for City of Bones but my local library is failcake and have very few teen books that i want to read)
I'm really liking it so far and i may have to buy it after i've read it and possibly find me some other Sarah Dessen books.
Recommend me some Jess?

but you MUST read This Lullaby thats possibly my favourite and Dreamland and Last Chance I really love too!

Well i finished Just Listen last night and WOW!! it was awesome! it was so great to read something non-fantasy for the first time in several weeks. Not that i don't like my fantasy but reading something different now and again is refreshing.
Gotcha Jess - This Lullaby, Dreamland and Last Chance will all be getting added to my amazon wish list ;)

Eeek! I cant wait till you read them! Last chance is perfect to read in the summer as well. I love the covers too! Especially for this lullaby!

Well i haven't finished it yet as my uber Amazon order arrived on Friday so i put it down to devour an urgently required read. But from what i've read so far i am liking it. I read reviews beforehand that said that there was a lot of over-flowery descriptions and i have to admit it is true but i don't mind reading them as long as i'm satisfied with the ending *crosses fingers*

LoriLeighRiddles- I read the memory keepers daughter about a year ago and I really enjoyed it there is a lot of over-flowery descriptions and I found some bits dragged on but over all I loved it its such a sad touching story.

I finished it last night and i was mostly satisfied with how it ended although i got the feeling that something else was perhaps going to happen - did you feel like that Jess?
It was quite a touching story and shows a bit how the assumptions people make about those with Down's Syndrome can be wrong. Although i do realise that it was written about a time where there wasn't as much study into the condition.

Currently reading : Evermore, Alyson Noel which so far is proving to be rather addictive and has already ruined my productivity during the school day. Darn.
May start reading my Jane Austen omnibus during wednesday lunchtime as i have prefect duty (guarding a door and stopping horrible little children coming inside) and it will be so tedious that my friend and I are planning to get a bit of reading in to pass the time and i thought it was about time i read the Austen books properly

Yeah I did think there would be more of a story to it you know like more of a plot. Where as its more about the tragedy the family go through and how the loss and secrets tare them apart and on the ignorance on downs syndrome back then. It's just one of those books that make you think.

Ahh yes I want to get around to reading the Jane Austen books at some point as well especially pride and prejudice and Persuasion I love the sound of those two!

Well i did try and read Pride and Prejudice one time and got a bit bored but hopefully now i'm slightly older i may have more determination to finish it. I want to read Persuasion as well cos its the only Austen book i haven't seen a film or TV adaptation of , so im interested to know what it's like.
Despite telling myself not to pick up a book when i got home i went straight to the cupboard and picked up P.S. I loathe you which is the latest Clique book by Lisi Harrison even though these books are for younger teens than I they still are fun to read and it only took me two hours to whizz through it although i got the distinct feeling that i've missed some vital info and need to go back and re-read earlier books. In fact what i need to do is get hold of the Summer Collection which is a set of 5 shorter books about each Clique member's summer vacation.
I'm tempted to read Infamous, Cecily von Ziegesar next just cos i feel like reading light chick-lit.

I've never watched a film or TV adaptation of any Jane Austen books because I've always wanted to wait and read the books first, but I dont know do you think watching a film or TV adaptation helps you to follow the books? or do you end up just comparing them? hmm.

Well I finished hunted last night which was of corse amazing! I'm thinking of starting a sarah dessen book tonight or the it girl book tempted.

In some cases the film can clarify things you didn't understand when reading the books (i.e. with Atonement) but in general i compare them to the books. Hopefully with the Austen books it will be clarification rather than comparison.
In true procrastination fashion instead of bringing my Austen omnibus to school today I've brought Dissolution to read since it was easier to get at. My austen books are the forth row back on my bottom shelf in my book cupboard so it may have taken me a good 15 minutes to get them out lol.

Hmm I may wait and read the books first then and if im having trouble understanding some parts then maybe watch the films or something.

On the book reading I'm going to go and start reading backpack by Emily Barr as soon as I've got my LT fix!

currently reading Trust me, I'm a Junior Doctor by Max Pemberton hilariously funny it's had me shaking with silent laughter at school - a couple of my friends (who already think i'm battier than a whole flock of fruitbats) now think i'm even stranger.

Well I finished backpack it was pretty good! and I've brought a Sarah Dessen book the truth about forever in to start reading at lunch its the only one of hers I havent read so im looking forward to it! Then after that I might go back to my fantasy/vamp books!

Well last night i read Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist twas a pretty awesome book - not very long but it still seemed to take me longer than usual to get through it... hmm i may start Before I die this evening so i can read all my library books in time to return them on the 9th april

After that i want to sink my teeth into some more vamp books (pun sooo intended lol)

Let me know what you think of before I die Rach! I noticed it when I was at the library and I might have to check it out at some point! Has anyone heard of or read the book how I live now by meg rosoff? I liked the look of that too and when I came home and looked it up it had some really good reviews on amazon so I might have to check that out next time too! Ahh I'm getting quite addicted to the library I can read and not get moaned at for spending more money!

Ooo i actually used to have How I live now its about this girl who goes to live with her cousins in england just as some major war (possibly nuclear) breaks out and she and her male cousin are left in this house for quite a while. I can't really remember what happened but i know that i didn't really like it- the relationship between the girl and her cousin got a little wierd for me .
I actually bought it cos the cover looked funky but it was a shame since a funky cover doesn't always mean a good book.
But i reckon you should read it for yourself and see what you think - i may perhaps have to re-read it and re-evaluate my opinion of it now i'm older.

Hmm yeah seems its in the library I might as well give it a try anyway and see. I think I'll be checking that out and before I die on my next trip to the library!

I started re-reading the hunger games earlier I should be done with that tomorow and then I'm going to start a new vamp book my vamp addiction seriously needs feeding! Hehe!

I started vampire academy last night and even though I've only read a bit I love it so far!

hehe yeah you must finish jane Eyre now you've started it! I wouldnt be surprised at all if you pick up frostbite before you finish it though! I think vampire academy could be up there will house of night but we shall see...

Well i re-read The Time Traveler's Wife over the weekend and on monday morning i read Blue Bloods just to get it out of the way. Now i need to buy the other two in that series *sighs* Started re-reading Evermore last night and will finish soon might pick up Hunted later :D

Oooh blue bloods what did you think to it? As for me I'm reading a big fat nothing and its having severe consequences on my mental health! Hopefully I'll be starting something new tomorow though!

Yea i quite liked Blue Bloods - there is a completely different mythology for these vampires compared to the other books i've read and it was pretty interesting plus there isn't loads of guy angst "ooo handsome vamp what do i do?" type drama which was a godsend :P

Started a little while ago Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin - its alright so far little odd in that the prologue is written from the POV of a dog but i can get past that so i shall persevere

well i read Envy: a Luxe novel on ... Tuesday possibly and I've been reading Last of the Wilds but i put it down while i read Prep which was a random find at the library. I finished it earlier and i have rather mixed feelings about it - it was interesting but i just couldn't see what the overall point of the book was :S
I'm hoping to get LotW finished either tonight or tomorrow night and then i'm possibly gonna start Labyrinth since i was challenged with it by katelisim (sp?) in our new thread :D

Well I finished rumours last night so tonight im going to pick up sloppy firsts for a bookclub read and then wicked lovely.

I finished sloppy firsts which was so so good! and im now reading strange angels which was recomended by Richelle Mead and thats also really good so far!

I'm going to start reading envy tonight im bitter sweet about it seems its the last one for a while but I really want to find out what happens to the luxe girls next!

I finished Envy earlier wow it was sooo good my fav of the luxe books and im next going to start wicked lovely.
