On another forum, where I'd originally heard the term, there was some question as to whether or not it actually means anything...

It seems to be something of a kitchen sink signifier. Most of the authors that are listed are the ones that I've been reading for years, calling it post-modernism or sci-fi?

Is there really all that much there there?
